Word art

To create the word art poster I had to draw a lot of drafts before coming up with the final product. Then I would cut out all of the letters and background and stick them on with glue. In this project I learnt more about design and focus points.

While creating this artwork it was tricky to come up with a very good design and I had to think hard and often got annoyed that a draft didn't turn out right. I had to use my powers of observation and knoledge of focus points and balnce to create this piece of work, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

A website that uses wordart frequently is well-known. Google often uses word art on its title during important matters. Use the link below to find some very interestiong Google word ats, I enjoyed them. One of my favourites is below, it was used to celebrate Agatha Christie's 120th anniversary.

I-skin Jingle

A fly wanted to get somewhere from afar,

But he did not want to walk for it made him suffer.

Then his friend did appear,

And he had an idea;

"Hey, why don't we take the zebra?"

Tessellation

Unit- Tessellations

To create this artwork, I folded a piece of paper in quarters, drew a pattern and (with the help of light boxes) repeated the pattern on the 3 other quarters. I then (with the help of more light boxes) copied the pattern on 6 other pieces of paper. Those pieces now tessellate. In this project, I have become more familiar with the light boxes and found out easy ways to make things tessellate.

In this project I felt creative; I could create anything I wanted to tessellate. But I wanted to find something that looked good. In this project I used my powers of observation to see what worked and what didn't. I'm quite pleased with my finished work, which uses rhythm.

In this project I learnt to uses light boxes, how to copy efficiently and, of course, how I need to set out my blog post. A famous tessellation master was M. C. Escher. His artwork is AMAZING! Please take some time to google his work. I use rhythm in vocal class.

Work on Lines

To create my line artwork I drew lines with coloured texters and a ruler. A skill that I learnt is that the primary colours go well together and if you use many colours you must make three of the colours stand out.
