To create this artwork, I folded a piece of paper in quarters, drew a pattern and (with the help of light boxes) repeated the pattern on the 3 other quarters. I then (with the help of more light boxes) copied the pattern on 6 other pieces of paper. Those pieces now tessellate. In this project, I have become more familiar with the light boxes and found out easy ways to make things tessellate.
In this project I felt creative; I could create anything I wanted to tessellate. But I wanted to find something that looked good. In this project I used my powers of observation to see what worked and what didn't. I'm quite pleased with my finished work, which uses rhythm.
In this project I learnt to uses light boxes, how to copy efficiently and, of course, how I need to set out my blog post. A famous tessellation master was M. C. Escher. His artwork is AMAZING! Please take some time to google his work. I use rhythm in vocal class.
